Here’s what this bot I posted earlier looked like before the final black outline. The interesting/terrifying thing about working with paint versus a digital file is that so many details get permanently lost & covered up. You have to fully commit to every decision. There’s alway a risk that the piece will be ruined, but that’s just part of the adventure. ART!

Here’s a poster I made for a show my band will be participating in this Friday. I wasn’t sure what to draw, so I went with a flaming robotic owl. Somehow it just felt right.

A 16x20 version of the little Batbot I painted recently, quoting an underappreciated modern classic.

I have been reading a lot of old Batman comics lately, which resulted in this quick 5x7 acrylic Batbot on masonite. I’m pretty happy with the little guy, so I’ll probably work on a larger/more detailed version soon.

A custom painted, glow in the dark Gameboy and cartridge that I made as a gift for my best man. He collects handhelds, so I wanted to give him something he didn’t already have, something a little different.

I had originally planned on making a few more of these, but this one took way longer than I had expected, so for now this will remain one of a kind. (Also, I thought it was interesting that the owl glows orange…I mixed a glow base with normal acrylics, and it looks like the color of the paint can change the glow. Neat…)
